A Halt on Clothes Begins

Dress: Charlotte Russe | Blazer: Charlotte Russe | Shoes: Charlotte Russe |
Tights: JC Penney | Hair Bow: Hot Topic

First of all, this is my most favorite bow in the whole wide world! Hence why it's featured in my header ;) I cannot be unhappy when wearing this bow! So, this dress and blazer were my latest purchase, when I was back home during spring break, which I am in love with! I actually purchased them for my engagement pictures, because I wasn't content with what I already had, ha. I wore these pieces separately then, so you'll hopefully be able to see that in a few weeks! But with the upcoming wedding and random expenses that happen in daily life, I have decided to make this declaration:

I will not purchase any more clothing until after the wedding.
(with the possible exception of a dress for my rehearsal dinner. It's wedding-related, leave me alone)

I am already regretting saying that.... I have a small income at the moment and I am expecting a lot of expenses in the coming months that are not just wedding-related. Thus, I need to cut out unnecessary expenses for a little. And I cringe at the fact that I just referred to clothing as 'unnecessary'! Because I obviously like fashion and love messing around with my outfits. But I've figured that I have enough clothing that I can work with for the next coming months.

So I hope you all join me in learning how to have fun with the clothes you have :)

Have a great weekend!

Spring Break Recap

Hello again! I apologize for my absence last week! It was Spring Break so I finally had the chance to go back home to spend time with my family and fiancé. But really I was running around from place to place the entire week, mostly doing wedding prep, ha. Here's a quick recap of what I was up to:
  • I met with Lauren from This Sweet Season who will be designing my wedding invitations. I can't wait to see what she comes up with!
  • CJ and I searched to find someone to officiate our wedding ceremony.
  • We also had 2 delicious cake tastings for our wedding cake. Yum!
  • Took advantage and made multiple trips to my favorite craft store, A.C. Moore, since there aren't any in Blacksburg.
  • Very briefly saw two friends, Heather and Russell, before heading out of town.
  • Finally had my engagement pictures taken in Richmond by Lauryn Galloway Photography! CJ and I had so much fun getting the done! I've been wanting these for so long, it's not like we've been engaged for over a year or anything...haha. I am so excited to see how they turn out!!
  • Spent a day in Mechanicsville with my two friends Nicole and Emily.
Needless to say, it was a busy week! I was sad to have to leave and head back to school, but fortunately I only have half of the semester left.

In other news, I just realized I am now at the 5-month countdown to the wedding! :O I am so excited!

I hope everyone is having a great Monday and has a wonderful week! :)

The Fuji Instax Wide

Today I wanted to share about my latest obsession. For Christmas, my brother gifted me the Fuji Instax Wide Instant Camera which I had first seen on Photojojo. I cannot stop playing with it! Thank goodness my brother was thoughtful enough to buy me 4 packs of film, of which I have already used up half!

I love the imperfections that naturally come from the camera. I'm still getting used to aiming accurately and I haven't quite figured out how to turn the flash off (because even when it says it's off, it flashes). But I'm loving it regardless! Here are some of the pictures I've taken thus far:

The first picture I took, and my favorite <3

My special Cowy

Two of my good friends, Nicole and Emily

A glimpse of my collection of fake glasses

 My trio of Pokédolls

Eiffel Cower and cow clock

 My bow collection!

Please don't judge me for taking a self-portrait, I was testing the close-up lens...

 Colorful socks make me happy

And so does my cat purse

Yes, a lot of what I've taken is just of random objects. But honestly, those are some of the best things I like photographing with this camera! I highly recommend this camera, whether photography is a hobby of yours or you just want something to mess around with!

Does anyone else have experience with this camera? What are your current obsessions?

Thank you for reading!
