A Twist on Business

I have to first start talking about this shirt. It has easily become my favorite tee. It was a birthday gift from Heather last year and I wear it almost every week haha. It's a mashup of Luna from Sailor Moon and Le Chat Noir, so it's just flat out awesome. And if you didn't already know, I absolutely love Sailor Moon! So for this outfit I was going for a 'business' type look with the blazer, glasses and top knot, but in a casual and quirky way with the colors, tee, and skirt. I've worn this similarly before, with skinny jeans instead, but I wanted to go a little crazier this time around! This is a great example of how to have fun with your clothes! ;)

This has been a pretty normal, low-key week. But the whole week has been spent anticipating the weekend so that I can get out of town! Tomorrow I'll be taking a little trip up to see CJ, so I'm super excited! It's bound to be a fun weekend with lots of happiness :)

These photos were taken before the weekend, when the day was just perfect. I'm happy to be able to take pictures outside again. The winter made it really difficult to do so and was part of the reason I had trouble keeping up with regular outfit posts. But now I can don't have to worry about that anymore - for the most part. As I write that, it is raining outside and looks absolutely miserable... thanks April.

This weekend really re-energized me for once. I ran my first official 5k and pwned it! The rest of the weekend was spent with a lot of gaming, movies, and cleaning. It was just what I needed to help me through this upcoming week!

Our Engagement Session

Over Spring Break last month, CJ and I had a wonderful time getting our engagement pictures done in Richmond. It was such a fun experience working with Lauryn Galloway Photography! Lauryn is such a fun person to work with and we felt at ease throughout the whole thing. She's posted some of the pictures on her blog not long ago, but once I received the package with all of the pictures I had to post my favorites for myself! And let me tell you, it was incredibly difficult to choose which ones to post - I loved them all! So here are my faves!

Demanding Spring

So we had this freak snowfall last Thursday that actually managed to close the university at 4pm. Above is the remnants of that snowfall, that luckily melted away quickly. It was still a little on the colder side, but I decided that I wanted to Spring up my life with my wardrobe. I was inspired by these wedges which I haven't really had the chance to wear. 

In other news, CJ came to visit this weekend, which was just the thing I needed to uplift my spirits! :) It was such a great weekend that left me feeling super happy and inspired to be productive this week! I created a countdown to the end of the semester and it really feels so close! I think that knowing this is giving me an extra boost of energy to get productive and finish the semester strong. Mostly because I just want to get to the summer haha.

Working on my super secret wedding crafts (as seen above)! There's nothing secretive about it, but I'm not ready to share until closer to the wedding, sorry! ;)

Dreaming of Spring. Because I do not know how much longer I can take the cold :(

Slightly regretting going on a clothing hiatus. All the new spring clothes are making envious. Must stay strong...!

Getting ready to {actually} run my first 5k! I've been training for about 10 weeks now and am really excited to see if I can accomplish my goal next weekend!

Trying to find motivation when I need it. It seems to come to me at random times but not always when I actually want to be productive, whether it's for school or even for my hobbies.

Gaming the original Legend of Zelda on the NES. I know it's crazy that I haven't actually gotten around to any of the Zelda games until now, I'm embarrassed to admit ^_^;; And even though the game is way harder than I had ever imagined, I am determined to play through the game, no matter how many times I die!

Craving roasted red pepper hummus. Can't. Stop. EATING IT!

Looking forward to the end of the semester! The next six weeks cannot go by fast enough!
